Because many people who approach me for buying a puppy have little or no experience whatsoever with the breed, I created, in 2004, a manual containing information about everything a thoughtful owner needs to know to rear their Ponta da Pinta puppy in a happy, healthy, harmonious way within his human family and the world around him. Ten years later, I turned that manual into my book "Cuidar do Cão da Serra da Estrela / Rearing the Estrela Mountain Dog". With more information, revised and updated, it has the preface and technical revision by José Paulo Sales Luís, Professor at the Lisbon University's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, an is very useful to every Estrela owner.
